Supplementaries
With Supplementaries installed, water keeps its grade in Jars, Goblets and Faucets, and a Jar or a Goblet of water can be drunk.
Supported versions
Fabric and NeoForge, Minecraft 1.21.1: Supplementaries 1.21.1-3.9.9. Other Minecraft versions ignore Supplementaries, which has no build for them.

Water grades
- Water poured into a Jar or a Goblet keeps its grade, and a bottle filled from one gets that grade back. Without the mod every Jar handed out Clean water whatever went in.
- Sea water stays sea water. It cannot be drunk or boiled into anything else.
- Water of two grades does not mix. A Jar of Murky water refuses Clean water until it is empty.
Seeing the grade
- The water in a Jar or a Goblet is coloured by its grade, from brown for Dirty to turquoise for sea water.
- A Jar broken while it holds water names the grade on its tooltip.
- With Jade installed, looking at a Jar or a Goblet shows the grade under the crosshair.
Drinking
Right click a Jar or a Goblet of water with an empty hand to drink one serving. It restores what the same water in a bottle would, and bad water makes the drinker ill just the same.
Supplementaries' own settings still decide whether a Jar or a Goblet can be used this way.
Faucets

- A Faucet keeps the grade of the water it moves, into and out of a cauldron. A cauldron poured into keeps the worse of the two grades, the same as pouring a container in by hand.
- A Faucet drawing from a lake, a river or a pool grades that water where it lies, the way filling a bottle there does.
- A Faucet fills and empties Copper and Iron Hanging Pots. A pot on a lit campfire goes on boiling while it fills.
Terracotta bowls
A terracotta bowl fills and empties in a Jar, a Goblet or a Faucet the way a glass bottle does, and holds one serving.
