With Cultural Delights installed, its drinks and watery foods restore thirst, and its Vat brews nothing from sea water.
Supported versions
Everything on this page works on NeoForge, Minecraft 1.21.1, with 
Cultural Delights 0.18.1. Its Fabric build has not been updated since 0.17, so it has no Vat and no drinks. Its cucumbers and salad still restore thirst there.
On Minecraft 1.20.1, its drinks and foods restore thirst too. Its build there has no Vat, so nothing else changes.

The stronger a drink, the less it restores. Tequila, Gin, Brandy, Vodka, Whiskey, Rum, Vinegar and Acid restore none. Pickles are salty and restore none either. Every value can be changed in the config.
Water in the Vat
- A drink brewed from fresh water is safe whatever its grade.
- The Vat brews nothing while any of its slots holds a bucket of sea water. A brew from it would come out safe, which would make the sea drinkable. Take the bucket out and the Vat starts again.
